Cascade was absolutely beautiful, even on a cloudy and rainy day. This is really one of the easy ones among the high peaks, but the ice made it more challenging.
I needed this hike because I wanted to feel something. You know that feeling, when you finally get to the top of the mountain, the overwhelming strength and sense of accomplishment, just for a moment, we kiss goodbye to all worries in life.
Ok, I’m sounding a bit emo right now, which isn’t really me. But in a time like this, when a chapter of life is coming to an end, and there’s nothing concrete to look forward to in the immediate future, the passing of everyday is worthy of a mini-panic. I probably had three today ;)
